Scraping Scrlpture

To keep our Bible reading interesting, we will create an art journal  for each book of the Bible We will create a page(s) using any art technique we like to express one or more of the scripture we had read. I'm so excited about my journey through God’s word using art; this will help me learn, understand and apply scripture in my day to day walk with Christ.

Please leave a comment with words of encouragement or if you would like to join the group " Journey through God's Word"

Build on the Rock

24 “Therefore whoever hears these sayings of  Mine, and does them, I will liken him to a wise man who built his house on the rock: 25 and the rain descended, the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house; and it did not fall, for it was founded on the rock.

23 Sarah lived one hundred and twenty-seven years; these were the years of the life of Sarah. So Sarah died in Kirjath Arba (that is, Hebron) in the land of Canaan, and Abraham came to mourn for Sarah and to weep for her.

The Tower of Babel

Therefore its name is called Babel, because there the Lord confused the language of all the earth; and from there the Lord scattered them abroad over the face of all the earth.

WEEK  #1
The History of Creation

1 In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. The earth was without form, and void; and darkness was[a] on the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God was hovering over the face of the waters. Then God said, “Let there be light”; and there was light.

I join  a new group "Hide his word in my heart art scripture journal", please follow me through this journey.  Each Sunday we are giving a new scripture, then we create a page using any art technique we like to express the scripture artfully. I'm so excited   this will help me to learn, understand and memorize 52 scripture.

I'm going to take this journey one addition step, I will add a few study notes on my understanding of each scripture. Being new at  expressing my feeling on scripture, I will give a simple interpretations. Please leave a comment and share your understanding of the scripture and words of encouragement.

I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.
            Philippians 4:13(NKJV)

GOD’S STRENGTH IS PERFECT He gives us the strength we actually need to survive our moments of weakness.

For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.
                                                             Luke 12:34 (NKJV)
My interpretation
Fill your treasure chest with faith, hope, charity, love and your HEART will be filled with the Holy Spirit.

And whatever you do, do it heartily,as to the Lord and not man
Colossians 3:23
My interpretation
Everything we do where it at work, sports, craft, home, a task or a relationship should be done with everything we have, and all our hearth and soul should be put into it, not for man but for the Lord. No matter what happens, we can find fulfillment and satisfaction as long as we do it for the LORD.

Watch, stand fast in the faith be brave, be strong
1 Corinthians 16:13 (NKJV)
My simple interpretation: Be spiritually alert, live with your guard up,be aware of your enemy's covert tactics. Be strong in your faith by trusting  scripture and the message of the gospel

Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation;old things have passed away;behold, all things have become new.
                                                       2 Corinthians 5:17 (NKJV)

My simple interpretation:  The old has gone, the new has come  and a brand new wonderful relationship with Christ has begone.

Pray without ceasing

    1 Thessalonians 5:17 (NKJV)

My simple interpretation: Pray at all times Morning, Noon Day, and Night.  Always take time to Pray.

Trust in the Lord with all your heart,
And lean not on your own understanding;
Proverbs 3:5 (NKJV)
My simple interpretation: When we lean on our on ideas, then we are showing a lack of trust in God ability.

Your word is a lamp to my feet
and a light to my path.
                      Psalm 119:105 (NKJV)
My simple interpretation: God"s word guides our steps and give us light in our darkest hours.
